Who can apply? (all criteria below must be met)

South African citizens who are either (a) residents of Mariannridge, Durban or (b) currently enrolled at Mariannridge Primary school will be considered.

Demonstrated financial need and academic potential.

Students currently enrolled in grade 7 or 8
-
A minimum of 70% aggregate in prior year final exams is required to demonstrate academic potential
What do scholarship recipients receive?

The SHAZH Foundation offers partial and full cost scholarships towards annual study-related expenses. Terms & Conditions apply.

The SHAZH Foundation also provides students with access to mentoring, skills development programs, and community-based leadership opportunities.

Application Process
Step: 1 Submission
Submit your application between 09 Februaty and 08 March . We strongly encourage all applicants with internet access to apply online using our online application form. If you are unable to submit online, please use the link below to download the offline version of the application.

Step 2: Application Review
Our Application Review Committee takes great care in screening all properly completed application against our eligibility criteria; followed by a thorough review of eligible applications against a comprehensive qualitative and quantitative rubric. Applicants that have been selected as finalists will be contacted for interviews in March 2025.

Step 3: Selection and Communication
Final selection will take place in April 2025. All applicants will be notified of the outcome by email no later than 25 April 2025.

Step 4: Admissions
Successful applicants are responsible for application for admission and acceptance at our academic partner institutions for 2025 enrollment.
